WHAT IS KEYBONGO

What started as helping friends (and friends of friends) find their first affordable mechanical keyboard has grown into a store dedicated to making the hobby easy to get into. We searched high and low for feature-packed keyboards in a range of layouts—including the ever-popular full-size 100% layout—all without breaking the bank. And because we all know the real fun starts with keycaps, we've built a huge collection for you to mix, match, and personalise. As a small, gamer-owned business, we're passionate about great products, honest advice, and treating every customer like part of the Keybongo family. ⌨️

HOW KEYBONGO STARTED

Hi, we're Jerome and Brandon—two childhood friends whose friendship has survived over 20 years of late-night gaming, endless TeamSpeak (and later Discord) calls, and countless "one last game" sessions that definitely weren't the last. Our friendship started in school but really grew in LAN cafés, where afternoons were spent battling it out in DOTA 1, Counter-Strike and Left 4 Dead. As life moved on, we took different paths—different universities, different countries, different careers—but one thing never changed: gaming.

Then came another shared obsession... mechanical keyboards.

What started with buying our very first mechanical keyboard quickly spiralled into testing different switches, layouts, form factors, keycap sets, artisan caps, and eventually custom keyboard builds. (If you're in the hobby, you know there's no turning back). Over the years, we've tried products from all over the world, learning what genuinely makes a keyboard enjoyable to use—and what is simply clever marketing.

That passion eventually became Keybongo: a place where finding quality keyboards and keycaps is simple, whether you're buying your very first mechanical keyboard or adding "just one more" keycap set to your growing collection. Every product in our store is something we'd happily use on our own desks. We're enthusiasts first, and that's reflected in everything we stock. After all, your keyboard is one of the few things you use every single day. We believe it should feel great, look great, and make you smile every time you sit down.

Finding the right products wasn't as simple as placing an order from a catalog. We spent nearly a year researching, speaking with almost 50 suppliers across Asia, and investing a good chunk of our own paychecks on samples to test quality, features, and everyday usability. The result? A keyboard we're genuinely proud to recommend as the perfect first mechanical keyboard for anyone entering the hobby.

Of course, no mechanical keyboard is complete without great keycaps. That's why we've carefully curated a growing collection of keycap sets and artisan keycaps to suit every style—from clean and minimalist to bold and colourful. Because customization never really ends, we're constantly adding new products to keep things fresh. Most importantly, we believe this hobby should be accessible to everyone, so we work hard to offer products that deliver outstanding quality and value without the premium price tag.

SENATOR, WE ARE SINGAPOREAN!!

We're a small business run by 2 childhood friends, born and raised in sunny Singapore. While our office is tucked away in the suburbs, our warehouse has since found a new home in Shenzhen, China—just across the border from Hong Kong.

Why the move? Warehousing space in Singapore is about as scarce as parking on a Saturday afternoon (and not to mention crazy expensive). By storing our products in Shenzhen, we get access to world-class logistics and more affordable shipping solutions.
